(see for details item 2). 1 Dutch Weekend at the Canadian War Museum In honour of the long-standing friendship between Canada and The Netherlands, the War Museum will host one more Dutch weekend: Meet veterans who served in Europe during WWII and listen to their compelling personal experiences. Handle the equipment Canadian soldiers used, listen – with your children – to the reading of “A Bloom of Friendship” and send a message of friendship to The Netherlands. Coffee, tea and Dutch friendship cookies will be served. May May 19/20, Le Breton Gallery and Gallery 3 2 Dutch Courage Explore the duality of culture: come and see how first and second generation local Dutch artists have tapped into their creative brain and produced innovative, modern art, in a variety of media and temperament. It is a comical play, as the title suggests, in which the creators disorder the conventions of theatre and of watching it. This play is for children from 8–11 years of age. A camera crew follows him pretty much everywhere, from Mongolia and New Zealand to meetings in Den Haag and his backyard with the two kids and and his wife Maxima. Portret. De Prins als watermanager, de Prins als kroonprins, de Prins als vader. Het zijn enkele van de facetten van het leven en werk van Prins Willem-Alexander die uitgebreid te zien zijn. Aanleiding is de veertigste verjaardag van de kroonprins op 27 april 2007. Voor het portret volgde NOS-programmamaker Mélinde Kassens de Prins gedurende een jaar met de camera, wat unieke beelden opleverde. We zien de Prins actief op het Wereld Water Forum in Mexico, waar hij vooral oproept om plannen concreet te maken. De Prins voert gesprekken met Uruzgan-gangers over de voorbereiding op hun missie naar Afghanistan. Tijdens zijn reis naar Kenia brengt hij een werkbezoek aan de sloppenwijken van Nairobi. Als beschermheer van het Oranjefonds praat de Prins op een basisschool met ouders over hun betrokkenheid bij de school. In Londen laat hij zich op de hoogte brengen van de voorbereidingen op de Olympische Spelen van 2012. En we zien hem als vader die samen met Prinses Máxima speelt met hun dochtertjes Amalia en Alexia in de tuin van De Eikenhorst.
